1. No GodModing.
There is to be absolutely none of this. The only exception is when you have permission from the person who plays the character you are going to godmode, and then please state that you have their permission so that we know, and you don't get an unnecessary telling-off.
GodModing is when you take control of another person's character in your own post. So in a fight, you can only say that you intend to cause damage, but your opponent is in control of the severity of their injuries, and whether they dodge your attack. (but remember to be realistic, no one can dodge every attack and get away from a fight unscathed.)
2. No Spamming.
Spamming includes using too many smilies, exclamation or question marks, lengthing words too much, e.g. "wooooooord", and posting pointlessly or posting over and over again.
3. No Point Harvesting Or Double Posting.
Point harvesting is when you post just to get the postpoint. Posting after your own post is double posting, also not allowed as it can be classed as a form of point harvesting, especially in a point-gaining forum, in a no-post-gains forum this can be looked at as spammy.
4. Keep Posts The Correct Length.
There isn't much point in reading a RP post that is only one line in length, it can barely hold any action, emotion, or much of interest in that one line. Think of how you're feeling now, surely you could describe that in more than one line, so why shouldn't your character have more complex feelings?
Posting such short posts can be looked at as Point Harvesting, and it is quite irritating when other members have spent time and effort in typeing a post of a ncie length, and they only get a one-line post in response.
For these reasons, we ask that you have 4 lines minimum as a post. This means 4 lines in the quick reply box, and just over 5 and a half lines in the newthread reply box. Please feel free to write more.
5. No Inappropriate Language/Content.
This is a Proboards.com rule, and this is a Proboards website, so we have to adhere to it. If we don't we could get into trouble. A lot of you have been a member long enough to remember that we have already been in trouble with Proboards because members had not been keeping to the PG-13 rule. New members should do well to remember this too.
Keep it PG13.
6. OOC Comments To Be Kept To A Minimum.
RolePlay threads are for Role-Playing. No OOC chat in the IC area, please.
7. No Claiming Special-Abilities Without Admin Permission.
We like to keep a track of who can do what. Plus, if we allowed just anyone to have a power, every wolf would be running around with some gift or the Sight.
This includes 'demons' of any kind!
8. No Padding Out Your Posts.
This can mean a number of things, mainly what I mean by this is no quoting from other people's posts to make yours look bigger. If you're going to quote speech from someone else's post, make sure it's small. If you need to refer to what they said so that they know which part your character is replying to, try to give te jist of what they said in your own words. Basically, in your RP post, we don't want too much copy-pasted stuff.
9. You Must Have Permission Before You Have Pups.
If you are in a pack, you must get permission from your Alphas, if you are a lone kerl, you must get permission from Snowflame. Lone Kerls should also not adopt more than 2 pups - its not realistic for vargs outside of packs to have that many pups, plus adopting more than two means that you're taking away other people's chances of adopting.
10. Leave RP Threads Uncluttered
If you post an OOC comment such as 'I'll post next!' or 'I'll post tomorrow!' make sure you either edit your RP post into that original post, or you delete that post after you have posted.
11. Keep Things Realistic
Please try to keep things realistic. A young pup or young lone wolf cannot kill a healthy deer. Hunting is very difficult, yet we have pups killing rabbits as if it's as easy as 1 2 3. A deer can be brought down by team effort, and then it is the weakest one, like Huttser said in the book, not only is that easiest, but it keeps the herd strong so that it will thrive and continue to provide food.
Also, if you are fighting someone else's character, you have to think what a real wolf might be capable of. You cannot get out of a fight unscathed, and if you are fighting an Alpha or Beta of a pack, they would have an edge on you.
12. Be Considerate Of Time Zones And Other's Schedules.
By this I mean, be patient with other people, let's say Fred, Ben and Will are in a thread. Fred lives in a timezone 8 hours ahead of Ben and Will. Whilst he is sleeping, Ben and Will are bored and post a lot in the thread. Fred wakes up to a ba-zillion posts to read.
The point being, please be considerate of the time zones and the real life schedules of other people. Exercise a little patience.
13. Keep Out Of Private Threads Unless You Have Been Invited
A private thread is one with (Private) or the letter 'P' in the thread title, it means that whoever created that thread wants only specific characters in that thread.
14: Your character MUST be a wolf.
Remember, this website is set during a time period when dogs were domesticated but certain breeds did not quite exist yet. However, your character is allowed to be a hybrid. However, you must be at the very least HALF wolf - your character will be small and easily picked on by others otherwise
